Due to a tournament coming up there are certain aspects I learnt that you have to do in order to keep healthy and fit leading up to the tournament. Today started off with yoga to keep the body flexible, this was to make sure Jaedan is keeping free of injury and tightness. After this doing a light hitting session ensuring she is moving her feet and contacting the ball correctly is what we focused on. Once 3:30 arrived the academy players started arriving and we were 1 coach down due to illness. Today I covered her court. The players ages ranged from 9-12. At this age my aim is to keep them motivated and focused. Working on consistency was the focus doing different games to make sure they were moving their feet. Something which I had never experienced happened today at the tennis academy. At most tennis clubs each level of ability have a fitness session, however here everyone of all ages and ability joined in on this run. This little short clip shows the end of the fitness session. It involved a 4 court sui
cide , sprints and 3 laps around all the courts. I thought this was great as it keeps everyone as one unit and together with no seniority which could occur especially at these ages. Today was also the first day when it was veery hot so when the players are playing for 4 hours straight you need to ensure they are drinking regularly a health and safety factor which I wouldn't have considered as much in En-

gland due to the temperature differences.
