Speed and agility

Its not only what you do on court but also what you do off court to prepare for a tennis match. As you can see from the video I was involved in the speed and agility which we have 3 times a week. Here the serious tennis players practice a variety of skills. Explosive strength, speed and hand eye co-ordination. To enable it to make it harder for you a resistance rope is tried around your waist and the trainer pulls against it to either make you run against him or to speed you up. I learnt new skills and idea of how to help players in their speed and agility when I am managing my own players. Once this had finished yoga began. It is really important to keep yourself fit and flexible throughout as your muscles become tight thus leading to injuries. The top players like Andy Murray does yoga and promotes this to all athletes. Again tennis started with Jaedan just the usual hitting but focusing on serve this time. After the academy started and the kids starting flooding in again. Today the focus with the group of players was moving forward in after a short ball. Here I find difficult working with this group as they are aged between 11-16 who are all very good players, but are difficult to keep focused and they can start to 'gossip' which means practice becomes unproductive. Here I have to learn to stay firm and constantly be on them about moving their feet and any other technical issues.
