Stronger the better

Today, is a Saturday which means there is academy for younger players 9-1 and then a specific training session for the better players 1-3. During academy, speed and agility started at 11 for the more serious players which was focused on weight training. As per the pictures below you can see I was pretty sore but the tennis must go on! Everyone needs to have different weights dependent on age and strength however for the same amount of reps and sets. After coaching the younger players the older players started at 1. Today was mainly focused on points as they all have a tournament coming up. We played a round robin of everyone playing everyone. The main learning point today which we gave to the players was not to show your emotion on court and show good mental stability. This means no throwing rackets, getting angry, dropping your shoulders or getting angry. During these points if anyone was showing any signs of this laps were enforced.
