The normal working day...

Today was just a normal working day. The usual start to the day was of course getting Jaedan for a run, then working on simple groundstrokes for 2 hours. Wednesday academy before the schools are out for summer are usually pretty quite and therefore I worked with the older kids on simply practicing their forehands and backhands and missing up the exercises to keep them interested and focused. Unfortunalety there was nothing too much to report today except for realizing being a full time player is their job, a 9-5 job. Today, although i was not doing this myself I witnessed the hard work which goes into maintaining the courts inside and out. Inside requires vacuuming and cleaning to ensure they are free of dips and bums and all is kept level. Outside especially as its clay courts require constance up keep on the actual clay. This involves spraying 4- 5 times a day and sieving, this of course takes up a lot of hard work of which you need to pay people to do. This of course then requires more thought going into payroll and your outgoings, Soon I will starting to plan and help organize Jaedans tournament schedule!
