Day 3: Today, started with a 1 mile run at 9:15 and then abs with Jaedan, who by now I am starting to understand how much time and effort goes into being a full time player. This is of course very beneficial to me as I want to be a tennis manager and therefore I need to know and understand what a player goes through. After the gym, the tennis hitting started, first inside working on coming up the court and moving forward. In addition using ball machines to focus on her strokes. After being inside for 1 hour 30 we moved outside to get used to playing outside during the summer. Moving on clay is so much different and you need to teach different types of shots which are effective on court. Also teaching the players how to slide on court and the different types of bounces. After 3 hours of hitting..Lunch was calling! 3:30 started which is when the academy starts and kids start flooding in for coaching. Today we have a smaller amount of players. When there is a smaller amount it is difficult sometimes to be able to match other players up with the same ability. I played against two brothers, having to design drills whereby it is effective for both of them and also be able to hit in after playing a long hard 3 hours already. In addition, Auggie the owner is making a new promotional video and choosing music to the video. Here I learnt that to have music to the video you need to have licensing which needs to be paid for. Here I learnt that even the little things need to be considered when running a business.
